Lannoo Baseball
Background & Philosophy
Baseball is evolving. The language of the game has changed (spin rate, pitch shape, vertical break, etc.) but the fundamentals are the same.
My own path through baseball shaped how I coach today.
I wasn’t recruited out of high school. I chose academics at Cornell University and walked on campus with the goal of earning a roster spot. I didn’t make it as a freshman. I came back, improved, and earned the final spot my sophomore year.
Over the next three seasons, I increased my velocity from 82 to 95 MPH, was named 1st Team All-Ivy as a closer, earned my degree, and was drafted by the San Francisco Giants. In the minors, I pitched over 150 innings over 3 seasons, making it to AA and dressing for AAA and MLB Spring Training games.
My progress was built through structure, honest feedback, daily intent, and a community of pitchers alongside me competing and improving together. That experience shaped how I coach today.
- I believe development should be long-term.
- I believe honesty matters more than hype.
- I believe durability is just as important as velocity.
- I believe the process of getting better should feel rewarding.
This is what I believe in
Instruction that’s personal, technical, and built for long-term development.
